DESCRIPTION: stemless, solitary. Leaves rosulate, to 25x15 cm, pungent teeth 3 mm long, 2-8 mm apart. Inflorescence to 60 cm with 3 branches, racemes erect, conical to subcapitate, flowers orange-red. Most closely related to A. lateritia var. graminicola.
