DESCRIPTION: stemless, suckering, leaves ca 10-15, spreading, 7-10x1,5 cm, grey green, prickles to 2 mm, teeth 1 mm long, 2,5 mm apart. Inf. simple, raceme cylindrical, flowers red.
DISTRIBUTION: Madagascar, Antoetra mountains, N of Ambatofinandrahana, Fianarantsoa Prov.
CULTIVATION: Very attractive but not easy to grow.
