DESCRIPTION: caulescent, suckering to form groups. Stem erect to decumbent, 30-60 cm long, leaves 30-40x2-4 cm, surface smooth, marginal teeth 1 mm high, white. 3-5 mm apart. Inflorescence solitary, 50 cm long, raceme cylindrical. Flowers secund, perianth bright scarlet.
DISTRIBUTION: Ethiopia
CULTIVATION: VERY rare plant but easy to grow.
